A lot of news today so let’s get to it:
- Last year we “discovered” Ocean Carolina and loved them so much that we had to put their brilliant album in the top ten of the year. It was a magnificent debut. Yesterday I learned from a source that they’re releasing their next album February 12th and they’re trying to get a West Coast tour together. I don’t want to jinx anything for them right now, but Los Angeles is already in the works and if all goes well our beloved San Francisco, music mecca of the West Coast, could also be on tap. It’s crazy to think they just released their debut and now they’re dropping the sophomore effort. This is the way music used to happen and it’s nonsensical that in this digital age, when music is cheaper and easier to make than ever, that bands feel the need to space out records two or three years apart. Can’t wait to hear this!!!
- To Kill a King has some new UK tour dates added to their already hectic schedule. Check those out here.
- Garage rockers Useless Eaters are releasing their next album Hypertension on Jeffrey Drag Records February 19th. Check out and download the track “Black Night Ultraviolet” from the album here.
- Finally, Atoms for Peace, Thom Yorke’s side project have released a trippy song from their forthcoming album Amok, out February 26th. The song is called, “Judge, Jury and Executioner” and it’s a ambient masterpiece. Check it out.
